We all have them…
That treasured stash of plastic or biodegradable carrier bags. Not supermarket bags, I’m talking about the sturdy fancy kind. They’re usually scrunched up and stuffed inside another bag or squished into an overflowing drawer or cupboard. (No, I’m not going to tell you to throw them out – unless they’re a real problem for you).
They take up so much space that could be used for something else, or that space could be left beautifully clear and empty. If you’re like me and completely OVER struggling with bulging bags full of bags, here’s a trick:
You can fit many more bags into a smaller space like a box or basket, or just make it easier to close the bag drawer, if you fold them.
So here’s a little project that could be done in front of the TV or delegated to someone who is easily bribed by promises of treats or kisses.
Flatten out the bag.

Fold it in half lengthways.

Fold up from the bottom two to three times. (If you’ve read this far, this is the secret bit – it automatically squeezes all the air out).

Tuck any bits in and file all your folded bags together.
