After taking care of the basics like sleep, exercise and having some fun, it can be very therapeutic to take control. Try one of these three simple ideas whenever you feel like life is running roughshod over you:
1. Choose one small space that bothers you and de-clutter it. A drawer, the top of your bedside table, one shelf of your pantry.
2. Take some time to prioritise. Today, tomorrow, next weekend – list the things that you know you have to do and plan the time to do it.
3. Take a secret break, a private day off, even just a few hours, spend time doing what you love, just for you.
